About me

I'm just an ordinary girl - just like the many others in the world. I study, I have friends; I laugh and enjoy life. But like countless others I have a hidden struggle, I fight an unknown and unseen battle. I am in the process of recovering from anorexia. This blog is my story, it's the diary of my struggle with this illness. It's my thoughts and feelings, my worries and fears. It's a record of my ups and downs, my good and bad days. I'm creating this blog in hopes that someone else will read it and relate. Someone else out there who battles with the same things will know that they are not alone, that there are others of us that struggle. But I also want them to know that there is hope. Those that are trapped in an eating disorder do not need to suffer forever. There is a better way to live, and it is within their power to reach for that victory, that promise of something better. It is a rough and rugged road, but it IS worth it. Even if most days we have to smile through our tears there is a silver lining behind every cloud and with time we WILL win if we don't give up. My fight is not yet over but I believe that some day it will be and I will be the victor.
